
With their controversial style, creative and innovative, the Stone Temple Pilots truly symbolize what it means to be rock stars. The first group formed San Diego in 1987 under the name Mighty Joe Young. They were going to change their name to Stone Temple Pilots in the early nineties before releasing their breakthrough album, Core.
Core was TSAP € ™ s first hit the music scene and earned them the attention not only among fans, but a critical success and impressive album sales as well. Core features a slew of hits, which would define the band, including Sex Type Thing, Plush, Wicked Garden, and Creep. STP 1994A followed with Core ™ € s "Purple", an album that became number one on the pop charts. Purple diversified choupa € ™ s style and earned them the respect from both the rock and pop communities, with hits like Vasoline and Interstate Love Song.
Despite a stream regular success throughout the 1990A ™ € s, with several successful albums ever many singles, the band broke in 2003 because of differences personal. The separation caused by tensions within the STP, led the singer Scott Weiland to form Velvet Revolver with members of Guns Nâ € ™ Roses and the rest of the group with Richard Patrick of Filter to form Army of Anyone.
As the two companions of Weiland and his band of former moderate success in their respective outside projects, in 2008, news broke that the Stone Temple Pilots are to meet for a new album and reunion tour, lasting from May to November 2008. The tour, which will play in various Canadian Sites U.S. is expected to be one of the biggest, best and highest grossing of the year.
As part of the tour, Stone Temple Pilots are scheduled to headline Foxfest Vancouver. Foxfest, a festival directed by massive local radio station in Vancouver 99.3 The Fox, is expected to take place at General Motors Place, August 30, 2008. Foxfest will last five to Total Canadian Judgments on TSAP € ™ s North American tour of the Meeting.
